The new centre-ground: What does it mean and how will Labour capture it?

Start:
Jan 31, 2012
End:
Jan 31, 2012
Venue:
Portcullis House, House of Commons
London, SW1A 0AA United Kingdom

This event is the first in a series based on the ‘new centre-ground’ theme that has been developed by Ed Miliband. This event marks the launch of a Progress and Centre for American Progress pamphlet, authored by Liam Byrne MP, looking at different aspects of ‘the new centre-ground’ and the policies progressives around the world will need to regain this ground and win re-election. Defining the centre-ground is first step towards winning it.

Speakers:

  • Liam Byrne MP, shadow secretary of state for work and pensions
  • Peter Kellner, president, YouGov
  • Joan Ryan, former MP for Enfield North
  • Marcus Roberts, deputy general secretary, Fabian Society
  • Mary Riddell (chair), columnist, the Daily Telegraph

6pm Tuesday 31 January 2012, Westminster, Grimond Room, Portcullis House
