Progress | Centre-left Labour politics

Progress’ future

In June 2017, Lord Sainsbury announced his funding of party political causes, Progress included, would come to an end at the end of the year. Continuing Progress’ important work will mean creating a new network of members, supporters and donors.

If you want the work of Progress to continue, there are lots of ways you can help:

If you are not a member, join.

It is very easy to join, for as little as £2.50 per month (£1 per month if unwaged) now:

If you know someone who should join, invite them now.

The more Progress members there are, the more Progress is able to mount and win arguments about the future of Labour and the centre-left.

If you are already a member – thank you. Please consider increasing your contribution.

For just £10 per month you can support the work of the organisation. The Progress 100 Club offers you the opportunity to enjoy the great benefits of being a member of Progress while supporting our work further. Members of the Progress 100 Club are invited to two 100 Club events a year and can attend our flagship event, Progress annual conference, for free.

Join the Thousand Club

If you can afford more and want to play a part in keeping progressive politics afloat, our newly-created Thousand Club is perfect. It is a unique opportunity for people to support the work of Progress. Members of the Progress Thousand Club can attend all Progress events for free and are invited to unique and exclusive events on a regular basis.

In addition to supporting Progress in the this new chapter as an organisation, you can help bring on a next generation of talent in the party. every member of the Thousand Club will be supporting a bursary for a young member/student to attend the Progress political weekend – our primary training event. The weekend has been pivotal in helping people prepare to become parliamentary candidates, public speaking and working in the Labour movement. Feedback from the event is always excellent and attendees have reported the event being key to their development in the Labour party and public life.
