Progress at Labour party conference

Progress has had a major presence at Labour party conference since 1996 with our annual rally, one of the highlights of conference. 

Speakers at our rally in recently have included Hilary Benn MP, Andy Burnham MP, Stella Creasy MP, Kezia Dugdale MSP, Caroline Flint MP, Tristram Hunt MP, Liz Kendall MP and Chuka Umunna MP.

In previous years we have held policy fringe meetings in association with the Barrow Cadbury Trust, the British Council for School Environments, Brook, BVCA, the Childcare Voucher Providers Association, DEA, Dr Foster Intelligence, Facebook, the Freight Transport Association, Kapsch, Migration Matters, National Citizen Service, Nationwide, Network Rail, the Parliamentary Committee Against Antisemitism, Pfizer, the Police Federation, the Institute for Government, the Open University, Smart Energy GB, City & Guilds and 4Children among others.

In 2016 we held 11 fringe meetings, including two breakfast seminars, our flagship Progress rally, and eight panel events. We worked with partners including, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, BVCA, EEF, IPA, IPSE, Labour in the City, the National Citizen Service, Open University, PSNC and Solicitors Regulation Authority.
