Working With Us
At Progress, we believe that Labour needs to work with business to make informed policy decisions.
We recognise that partnering with business, civil society, and third-sector organisations is important to understand the issues Britain is facing and find ways to combat them.
We’re interested in collaborating with partners across all sectors of the UK economy who share our values and are working towards a bolder and brighter future for the nation.
Progress is funded by our members and our partners. We value the support that members and partners give us to deliver nuanced research, considered analysis and exciting events.
Our political and policy recommendations are drawn from discussions with our members, engagement with partners and wider research.

Partnership Options

Event Partnerships
Our events provide the opportunity to position your organisation at the centre of policy debates among mainstream Labour thinkers.
Our members include Labour ministers, MPs and peers as well as councillors and grassroot activists working at the heart of the Labour party to tackle the key issues the country faces.
Labour Party Conference Partnerships
We have a track record of organising events at Labour Party conference over many years, bringing together ministers, backbenchers, and members, with packed sessions based on the issues of the day.
We partner with cross-sector organisations, raising key policy challenges across industries and at all levels of government.
We can offer:
  • Conference panels: Offer the opportunity to bring together Ministers, MPs, local leaders and your expertise to explore a policy area that is not currently being addressed in government.
  • Drinks receptions: Provide a great networking opportunity, key note address alongside key members of the Cabinet.
  • Roundtable meetings: Great for convening thought leaders and policymakers to ensure barriers to business are overcome.
Research Partnerships
Our research is designed to help Labour and the centre-left around the world deliver a progressive policy agenda.
Previous papers include ‘Putting Industrial Policy in its Place’, ‘Making Tax Digital’ and ‘A Future Secured’. We are always interested in expanding our scope with new policy ideas, so if you’re looking to launch a research project please get in touch!

"What an extraordinary programme of sessions! Our sincere thanks for your excellent support in creating the AOP’s fringe and a fruitful session for the sector – truly brilliant to have Stephen Kinnock in attendance and engaging with our key asks for optometry, and primary care. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and deliver in partnership with Progress."

“For 30 years, PPI has been proud to call Progress a close partner and friend. Our collaboration builds on decades of shared work with pragmatic, problem-solving voices among the global center-left movement. Together, we’ve shown that real progress comes through partnership -- whether at the annual Labour Party Conference, Progress’ own annual gathering or, most memorably, when we brought several future Labour MPs to the U.S. in 2024 to trade ideas on winning and governing. It’s a transatlantic friendship rooted in a belief in what progressives can achieve when they work together. We’re excited to keep building on that partnership in the years ahead.”

“For thirty years, Progress has been a vital engine for center-left renewal, driving policy innovation within the UK and within Labour, but also far beyond the UK’s shores. Its influence resonates deeply in Australia, where our shared values of fairness and pragmatism are often tested in our political debate and need champions at home and abroad. Progress plays an important role in grounding progressive ideas in the real world, ensuring Labour keeps its focus on delivering better living standards for all, and offers an intellectual hub for so many wanting to make the UK a better place."
